How It All Began

Abiding Vine Vineyard and Winery in Laurens, South Carolina is a family-owned business that is set to make its debut on November 11, 2017. We channel more than six years of wine making experience to turn luscious muscadine grapes into one of the finest wines in the region.

Our love affair with the muscadine variety began one weekend at a seminar held by Clemson Extension and a couple of South Carolina vineyards back in 2007. It fascinated us so much that we started doing more research on the grape variant. Later, we started a test plot in the backyard. Not long after, the vines bore fruit, and we began making wine.

Every year, we would add something new to each batch we were making. Whatever we found out, we took note of them diligently. Then and there, we discovered that this was the key to improving the products we were developing.

What We Built

Our vineyard sits on land that was once a tree farm. We cleared it the first time around to reconstruct the vineyard that we acquired. Later on, we built the winery and developed more parts of the land to plant muscadine vines. Today, we grow six different varieties of muscadine grapes. These are made up of three bronze variants (Carlos, Welder, and Magnolia) and three black varieties (Noble, Creek, and Regale).

What We Stand For

Abiding Vine Vineyard and Winery derives its name from a Biblical verse. It’s our way of letting everyone know that we view our vineyard as a blessing to be shared with other people and organizations. We draw our vision from this belief.

Vision Statement

I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.

John 15:5
